Hello!
My love affair with Vail began in high school on week-long ski club Spring break trips. Back then, with little money, Vail was still pricey, but it didn’t matter. It was a magical place and had plenty for a 16 year old to do.
After college, my husband and I were fortunate enough to buy a home there, not huge. But big enough for our small family of three. Importantly, it was walking distance to the village. As a 15+ year resident, there is no place we’d rather be. For vacations. Short trips. Full time living.
A while back, Vail resorts had a tagline which claimed “Like No Place Else”. We’ve found this to be true in more ways than just the ski mountain. A few of our friends call Vail the Disneyland for Adults. Perhaps they are right. But isn’t that what a vacation is for? To escape your normal routine and be transported to somewhere magical is just what some people need to ease their stress, forget about daily life, and just live each day fully, consciously and happily.
